The video above provides a quick tutorial on how to reset the oil light for a Cadillac ATS. Simply follow the instructions and you’ll be on your way to having a fresh start to start tracking your oil status.
From the video description they sate the following:
- Turn ignition on by pressing start button and hold it for few seconds, but do not step on brake pedal at the same time, if you do the engine will start and you cannot reset the oil life.
- Make sure all the lights do come on after that, check engine, abs, brake and so.
- Steep on gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. (All the way down and up)
- Turn ignition off and restart the engine. The message should go off for OIL LIFE

I HAVE A 2015 CADILLAC SRX AND MY CUE HAS JIGGLED, JUMPED A D TWITCHED NOW FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS. THE SCREEN IS FROZE. CANT ACCESS ANY OF THE INFORMATION ICONS. I HAVE TRIED THE METHOD OF RAISING THE COMPARTMENT DOOR SHUTTING OFF MY CA OPENING THE DOOR IN ATTEMP TO RESET, HAVE TRIED GOING TO THE CLOCK SCREEN, THIS DID NOIT WORK. I AM TOLD IT WILL COST ABOUT 1300 TO GE THIS FIXED. IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD TROUBLE WITH YOURS YOU ARE LUCKY……. YOU MAY STILL BE ENJOYING THE ” CADILLAC EXPERIENCE!!!!! IT IS A NIGHTMARE AND CADILLAC HAS KNOWN THERE HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR YEARS
Hello Pat! Unfortunately, the end outcome with having a problem like the ones you’ve described with your CUE is to have it replaced. Hopefully you’re under warranty or you have bought an extended warranty when you purchased the SRX. Good luck!
